What is Petracrow?
Petra + Crow
Petracrow is a queer-owned metaphysical shop specializing in handmade magical goods and crochet products. As a queer owned business we understand the importance of creating a welcoming safe space to connect, learn, and shop. We strive to create good quality products that are made with our passion and love.
A name of many meanings, Petracrow represents connection to the great mysteries of the Craft. Petra means stone in Greek, referring to our connections to the earth and the material world. Crows have been associated with witches and wise ones for centuries, referring to our connection to the spiritual world. Furthermore phonetically, Petracrow sounds similar to Petrichor, the word describing the smell produced after rain falls on dry ground. Petrichor comes from two descriptive greek words; “πέτρα”, meaning stone and “ίχώρ”, referring to the ethereal blood of the gods in Greek mythology. Petracrow may be a new word but what our name represents is spiritual wisdom and connection.
We are currently located in Salem Massachusetts operating mostly online and through events. Our goal is to connect to the community through open rituals, crocheting circles, and special events so stay tuned. You can find us in person at craft fairs in the North Shore area as well as on our website and social media. If you have any questions about our products or wish to book a special event or reading, please let us know through our contact page.
